The background is a blend of fall colored inks and I just love the white, stamped and embossed leaves by Close To My Heart.

Celebrated my 30th Anniversary yesterday and made this card.
I've seen many of these white on white cards and think they're so pretty. Plus the 30th Anniversary themes are pearls &/or diamonds, so I used pearl and white paper and put on a bunch of pearls.

The 5x7 embossing folder is Geometric Rings by Cricut/Cuttlebug.
The background dies are from Maryanne.
The champagne glasses die is from a generic company from China I got off of Ebay.

Wow! This is my 5th Fall card, I think that's a record for any one season or holiday. I made a version of this card many years ago in a smaller A2, 4 1/4x5 1/2 size, so I thought I'd try it again in a 5x7 size this time.

4 Crafty Chicks *Old - paper, fence, pumpkins/New - background, trees, owl

This harvest card background was a new technique I learned from a card I saw  on Pinterest. You can go here to see the tutorial. This card is really popular on Pinterest right now and I thought I'd give it a shot and here's my version.

The trees are from a Sizzix embossing folder I borrowed from a friend. You're suppose to ink the raised side with a brayer then stamp the image on the paper, but it came out aweful, so I took my black copic markers and filled them in. Came out pretty good. The owl is from Stampin' Up's build an owl punch that I also borrowed.

This is another adorable image from The Paper Shelter called Autumn Joy and this time I actually colored it!! This one came out much better.
I also made the punched leaves by blending 5 different distress inks on white paper that I saw on Pinterest that you can go here to see.

The glitter leaf background and metallic dots paper is from the Die Cuts With a View Metallic Luxe stack and the metallic stripes is a small pak I got from Dollar Tree that goes perfectly with it. This adorable image is pre-colored from The Paper Shelter called "Autumn is Coming", isn't she a cutie!
I had one that I colored, but I didn't like the way it turned out, so I used the pre-colored one and colored the background.

This is the one that I colored. I mean it's ok. It was just a practice run anyway.

Learning to color hair!

Hey coloring friends!

Just wanted to post my journey on my learning how to color hair a little better.
This is my first hair coloring I did when I took my beginning and intermediate Copic classes at least ten yrs ago. I'm not an artist so I had no idea what I was doing, but I was pretty pleased with myself at the time.

                             This is an early coloring I did.  Pretty newby.

                       A more recent coloring. My best coloring up to then.

                                          Most recent. Even better.

Over the last few weeks I've gone on YouTube and watched hours and hour and hours of videos. Some of those ladies I watched are brilliant colorists. Here are a couple practice sheets I've done.

I've gotten a little better, but have a long way to go.
The next techniques I want to learn is coloring flesh and clothes.

I am also very happy! Fall is my favorite time of year and these papers from Bo Bunny (Forever Fall Collection) are probably my favorite fall papers!
I love fall because the weather cools down, time to pull out the sweaters and boots, the colors are awesome, time for pumpkin spice lattes, I love everything about it!
I also love this little Magnolia Tilda in the Leaves image, so cute! I used to also love playin' in the leaves as a kid.
