I had several more Christmas cards I had in mind I wanted to make but didn't get to. I guess I'll just have to start now with the ideas fresh in my mind for next year.

I saw a card similar to this on Pinterest without the puffy embossed paper and thought this would be perfect for this embossing folder so I had to give it a shot.
The folder is Crafter's Companion's, the snowflakes and merry merlot paper is from Stampin' Up, and the Merry Christmas die is from Penny Black.

Inside: The sentiment is an old stamp from Justrite Stampers who is no longer in business.

That's all for today, hope you enjoyed stoppin' by!
Thanks to all the challengers above for lettin' me play along.

Cute Gnome!

Hey blogger friends!

I have a cute gnome card to share today.

Entering in these challenges:

Allsorts - #551/2 AG
Butterfly - #133 "X", Fairies, Elves, Gnomes

I found this cute gnome scene under a pile of stuff in a friends craft room I'm housesitting at and decided to make a card out of it for the Butterfly Challenge. If she doesn't like it or was going to do something else with it, I made it removeable so nothing lost. But she's pretty easy so I didn't think she'd mind. Not sure who it's from.

That's it for now, thanks for stoppin' by!

*Allsorts - Oh Holy Night
*Cut It Up - Spellbinder's Grand Labels 11
*Dies R Us - Stampin' Up's Night in Bethlehem(?) dies

I think this is my Christmas Piece de Resistance.
I saw one of these bridge cards with this same theme on Pinterest and just had to give it a shot and I just love how it came out!   The dimensions when finished is 7 x 8", so you start out with a piece 7 1/4 x 12" and score it at the 2, 4, 8 & 10". If you want it shaped at the top, fold it in a tri fold at the 4" and 8" and use whatever die you want and run it thru your die cutting machine
As stated above, I used those 2 die sets and basically just eye-balled it from the pictures. I also used silver mirror paper as the base cardstock, and the navy blue stars I think I got from Michael's, and used silver matte paper for the buildings.
I wish I had the stamp set from Stampin' Up that goes along with the dies. It would give Mary and Joseph a bit more definition, but I don't.

You need to use Stayz on ink on the matte paper or it will smear.

That's all for now, hope you enjoyed stoppin' by!

Blessings and Merry Christmas!

More Winter Butterflies!

Hi blogger friends!

I have another card with the winter's butterflies theme for today.

A Bit More Time to Craft - #106 AAG

Aud Sentiment - #242 Christmas/Winter
Crafty Creations - #404 AAG

Polkadoodles - #50 AAG
QKR Stampede - #376 AAG
The Sisterhood of Crafters - Anything Christmas

*Allsorts - Winter Wonderland
*Dies R Us - Spellbinders Scalloped die

This was a bit of a tricky one to photograph and explain.
This is a tri-fold, tent card, which means it opens up from the bottom and it open up twice to reveal 3 panals on the inside. Of the 6 panals, front and back, 5 of them have been decorated, again with Paper Wishes/Hot Off The Press' Winter's Butterflies Papers and dazzles stickers.
Theme: Snowflakes are Winter's Butterflies.

I photographed each panal seperately, then together as you would open the card.

Front of the card, all folded up.

1st panel, top of the inside, photographed seperately:

This panel is actually the bottom of the back of the card folded up. If that makes sense.

And the first reveal of the 1st opening together:

This next panel is the middle panel of the inside.

And this one is the bottom panel of the inside.

And this is the 2nd reveal of all 3 panels after opening the 2nd time.

And this is the other side of the card all unfolded. And upside down.

Whew!
That's it for today, hope you enjoyed stoppin' by!

Winter's Butterflies!

Hey blogger peeps!

I have a winter card to share today.

Entering in these challenges:

A Bit More Time to Craft - #105  AAG
A Gem of a Challenge - #24 AAG
Always Fun - #140 Snowflakes
Aud Sentiment - #242 Christmas/Winter
Creatalicious - #176 AAG/Winter
Cute Card Thursday - #612 AG
 Polkadoodles - #49 AAG
QKR Stampede - #376 AAG

This is a Z fold card made with last years Paper Wishes/Hot Off the Press' Winter's Butterflies papers and dazzles. They also came out with a different version for this year. Really pretty papers, I like them both, although I didn't get this years. The theme behind them both is "Snowflakes are winter's butterflies".

This 2nd panel on the left is Hunkydory's snowflake mirror paper so I tried to shoot it at an angle so it wouldn't reflect anything or it would have picked up dark spots on it.

That's it for now, hope you enjoyed stoppin' by.

I really love the way this turned out with the different shades of matte and mirror blue. I saw these bells on Pinterest several months ago and just fell in love with them and had to have them only to find out that they were a set of Anna Griffin dies that were discontinued 4 yrs ago. I scoured the internet trying to find them and finally found a set on Amazon, but the seller was selling them for a very inflated price, twice the original. I resisted for a couple months, but finally decided  to get them since they were the only set I could find. I made 4 cards with this die so far including this one for my son.

These are the poinsettias, but there are many more in the kit. I made this one for my niece.

It comes with two sentiments printed on the bottom pieces and then I stamped a verse on the back, pull up part and I added a couple poinsettia dazzle stickers as well.
