I made this for my Pastor's daughter, Megan who's having her first baby.

I attached the sentiment to the back of the base with 2 tabs.

Don't make the same mistake as I did, the slit in the middle that you cut is only 4.25" long. I mistakenly cut it 5.25" long, which was easily fixed, but I hate making faux pas like that.


I made the tiny hangers out of paper clips.  I got the instructions from Pinterest.

Time for Fall

Evening blogger peeps!

Wow! I'm doin' good, 2 posts in 1 day.

And I have officially started my fall cards. For some reason I make more cards in the fall than any other time of year, not sure why. Although I do love this time of year.  Back to school, the leaves changing colors, a nip in the air, time to pull out the sweaters, harvest, Thanksgiving not too far away, and Christmas right around the corner. (Oh dear! In 3 mos)

Anywho, I have a tri-shutter card to share. I guess I'm on a fancy fold kick at the moment. I have a few more in mind coming up as well.

Gotta super cute Back to School, center step card to share today.  The school girl image is a digi from The Paper Shelter, one of my favorite stamp companies. The pencil holder is a digi from Sweet and Sassy Stamps, another fav. I made the chalkboard sentis from black card stock and white gel pen. The digi papers are from McMahon 5 Designs. The other elements I got from the internet by searching for school or back to school clip art.

The image is from DS4J called "Misteri Toasting Marshmallows" that I colored with Copics.
Most of the other elements are stickers that I picked up from Michaels with the exception of the stamped tree clusters and the rocks around the fire - yes, those are real rocks out of my driveway that I glued on!

Got another 3D card I've had in the works, but just couldn't seem to get it done, finally did!  Saw this trout image with the water drawn on it from a designer on the QKR blog, thought I'd give it a try.  I think I saw this double box (?) card on Pinterest,  looked kinda fun.

Bees and a Sunflower

Hi blogger peeps!

I've gotta  bee-utiful  card to share today! (tee-hee!)

The designer papers are from a collection by McMahon 5 Designs called Bella's Beauties, Bees n Sunflowers.  They are digi papers that you can print out any time you want and never run out!  (as long as you have alota ink that is!)  You get 10 sheets for 3.00.  I thought it was a good deal, and just adorable!

I cut out one of the sunflowers to put on top of the white paper, but there actually are sunflowers and bees on that honey comb paper.

Shop til Ya Drop

Made this corner room scene with the Marianne Craftables (I think it's called the) corner carousel. It was one of the 2013 Craftables releases.
Anyway, I made this and put it together with a few other 3D type cards I made and entered them in our local fair, which starts today.  I'll take pictures of them and post it when I get them back when the fair is over this Sunday.

Most of the images (i.e. the corset, shoe boxes, hat, perfume bottles, etc.) are from the paper collection called Dress Up Pink by Kanban.  The dresser bottom is cut out with the end of the Spellbinders Curved rectangle die to give it a decorative edge and legs. The dress I made with a Quickutz Scalloped oval die that's cut out at an angle on both sides. The mirror was a collection of paper frames I had in my stash that I put a piece of silver metallic paper behind.  The wall paper card stock is from K and Co. Thought it came out pretty nice!

Oh! I almost forgot! That small hanger, I made from a paper clip!  Saw the tutorial on Pinterest.  So easy, I made quite a few. Although you'll need a wire cutter and needle nose pliers.
