Pop Up Tower Card!
Well hello blogger friends!!
It's been 2 months since my last post and wow! So much has happened!
My Covid-19 Story.
I came down with cold symptoms (sore throat, congestion, dry cough, some sneezing) on Monday, March 16th, a wk after my last post, and I didn't want to risk any of my clients getting sick, who are my age and older, so I pretty much started my self quarantine then. I talked to my Dr the next day through a phone consult, (they had closed the clinic (Kaiser) and wasn't seeing anybody in house unless it was an emergency) but because I didn't have a fever or any serious problems breathing, he didn't think I needed to be tested and told me if anything changed to let him know right away. So a week and 2 days go by and I spike a fever of 101-102*, called my Dr back and he arranged for me to be tested. 5 days later, on Monday March 30th, he calls me back and tells me I tested positive, but by that time, I had already been in my own quarantine for 2 wks. So the next step, I was suppose to go 3 days without any symptoms before I can totally come out of quarantine. 1 wk goes by, 2 wks go by and I still have symptoms. All the while I'm being monitored by nurses calling me every few days to see how I'm doing and even had our local Health Dept go over a time line with me (back to the 1st of March) to see if there was anyone else I had been in contact with that may have been infected. Thank God I'm not really a social butterfly anymore and there was only one of my friends from church that I was around by their guidelines, but thankfully she didn't get it.
So going on the 3rd wk I called my Dr back and asked to be retested because the symptoms were just not going away, so I was retested, but instead of it taking 5 days to get the results as it did the first time, it only took 1 day, because now they can do the testing in house where before they had to send the tests to the University of Washington to do the testing. So from the time I was 1st tested to now, they've actually come along way as far as how the tests are done. And it came back not found, which is negative.
!!!!!!!! And I am happy to say that I have survived Covid-19!!!!!! Woohoo!!!!!!!
Actually, both my husband and I have survived. After I tested positive, my husband was also tested and his came back positive as well, but his virus count was so low (1-2) that they deemed his test unviable, which means it may as well have been negative it was so low.
And I give God all the glory for His wonder working power and I thank a plethora of friends and family for all their prayers, love and support, for without it we probably wouldn't be here.
Anywho, I have a pop up, tower card to share today!

*Cut It Up - Glitter Center Border
This card's base is using Apple Blossom's, square, "That Folder" embossing folder. The stickers, sentiment, flowers and bling are from Michaels.
If you'll notice at the bottom right, there's a tiny dragonfly. When I first posted this card I was unaware of this, but I just googled dragonflies and evidently they are a symbol of luck and prosperity. Now I don't believe in luck when you have an omnipotent God in control of your life and luck to me is:
Living
Under
Christ's
Kindness.
But I just thought that was so like God to show me the meaning of the tiniest detail of my card. Thank You Lord!
That's all for today, hope you enjoyed stoppin'by!

Thanks a Bunch!
Hey blogger friends!
I have a non-traditional Valentines Day card to share today.
Entering in these challenges:
A Bit More Time to Craft - #109 AAG
A Gem of a Challenge - #3 AAG
Always Fun - #147 Sparkle*
Aud Sentiment - #243 AG
Crafty Catz - #491 AAG/Fav Colors*
Crafty Friends - #128 Love n Romance
Creative Moments - #183 AAG
Cute Card Thursday - #619 Valentines
Digi Choosday - #4 AAG
Di's Digi Challenge - All About Love
Penny's - #463 AAG
Polkadoodles - #5 AAG
QKR Stampede - #383 AAG
The Sisterhood of Crafters - New Stash*
Tuesday Throwdown - #449 Layered Dies
* Always Fun - Blue mirror paper and glitter ribbon and bow
*Crafty Catz - Shades of Blue
*The Sisterhood - New Papers
This is a twist and pop card that I've made for Valentine's Day and instead of pink, red or hearts, I chose shades of blue and flowers. And even though this isn't a thank you card, I chose an Anna Griffin "Thanks a Bunch" sentiment on the front to reflect the bunches of flowers. The pretty paper I got from Michael's in a Recollections Pad called "Mermazing".
I've had these layered flowers by Ecstasy Crafts in my stash for years not having a clue what to do with them, until I was going through my stuff recently and had seen a twist n pop card on Pinterest and the light bulb went on and I thought these would be perfect for a T n P card, and with Valentine's Day coming up I thought flowers would be perfect as well. And voila!
That's all for today, hope you enjoyed stoppin' by!

This is a new card kit that I got from Paper Wishes by Hunkydory in thier Teal Treasures Collection. I got 2 of the 4 items in the collection, the 5 x 5" paper pad and this card kit. I originally loved it for the gorgeous colors and images that Hunkydory is famous for, but after I got it home and started putting it together I realized what a fun card this turns out to be! It only makes 4 cards, but the front has a place for a box that houses the book mark and it comes with all the sentiments and is finished on the front, inside and the back too. All I did was add some teal matte mirror paper I had and two of the 5 x 5 sheets on the inside that matched perfectly. So pretty!
Inside
And the back.
Too much fun!
Hope you enjoyed stoppin' by!
