Bees and a Sunflower

I've gotta  bee-utiful  card to share today! (tee-hee!)

The designer papers are from a collection by McMahon 5 Designs called Bella's Beauties, Bees n Sunflowers.  They are digi papers that you can print out any time you want and never run out!  (as long as you have alota ink that is!)  You get 10 sheets for 3.00.  I thought it was a good deal, and just adorable!

Shop til Ya Drop

Hey blogger friends!

Made this corner room scene with the Marianne Craftables (I think it's called the) corner carousel. It was one of the 2013 Craftables releases.
Anyway, I made this and put it together with a few other 3D type cards I made and entered them in our local fair, which starts today.  I'll take pictures of them and post it when I get them back when the fair is over this Sunday.

Most of the images (i.e. the corset, shoe boxes, hat, perfume bottles, etc.) are from the paper collection called Dress Up Pink by Kanban.  The dresser bottom is cut out with the end of the Spellbinders Curved rectangle die to give it a decorative edge and legs. The dress I made with a Quickutz Scalloped oval die that's cut out at an angle on both sides. The mirror was a collection of paper frames I had in my stash that I put a piece of silver metallic paper behind.  The wall paper card stock is from K and Co. Thought it came out pretty nice!

Oh! I almost forgot! That small hanger, I made from a paper clip!  Saw the tutorial on Pinterest.  So easy, I made quite a few. Although you'll need a wire cutter and needle nose pliers.

Most of the elements are 3-D stickers I picked up at Michaels, with the exceptions of the palm tree that is a stamp from Make an Impression and the trunk is colored with Copics.   The fronds are a punch by Punch Bunch. The water I colored with Copics, and the sun is sponged with Mementos ink. There's also glitter in the sentiment, on the waves and as the sand on the bucket and shovel.

A Bride and Groom Card

Been workin' on this bride and groom card for awhile and finally got it to where I'm happy with it.

I found a tutorial for a really fun and easy way to make the wedding dress from  Valita's Freshfolds, by using a round, scalloped die. Hers is more flared at the bottom, but that didn't work here. She also used a Spellbinder's die, but I found for the same price, you can get almost 3 times as many dies in the pkg with Quickutz. And JoAnn's had them on sale at 40% off.  Gotta love a great deal!

Valita also has another design for the groom's tux/wedding dress which you can purchase for a small fee, but I just eye balled it, made my own and added glitter.

Havin' a Ball!

Got a Birthday card to share today.
And I'm just havin' a ball playin' with these new card kits that I got from Scrapbooking Mad.
This ones called a four fold card that they've entitled Forget Me Not.

What's really unique about these kits are, after you choose which ones you want and purchase them, (you'll want more than one!) they are pages of graphics that you down load, then you can print them, cut them out and use them as many times as you want.
I just love 'em!!

They have A TON of freebies. The prices vary from a few cents to about $5.00 for templates. (average $1.62) You have to convert pounds to dollars, as it's a British site,  but the graphics are superb!

Just a really clever concept.

Don't know if you can see it, but there's a couple of layers that's popped up, the umbrellas, bows, flowers, middle section and senti.

They also have a LARGE selection and some of the most unique card styles I've ever seen.

I cut these out by hand as I'm not very well versed at my Silhouette or SVG cut files... YET!
But if you have a Silhouette or the like, and you know how to use cut files, then you could probably use your machine to cut these out with.
You'll definitely be seeing more of these from me.

Recipe:
Corners are by Cheery Lynn; dies inside are Spellbinders; paisley paper by Hot Off the Press; "Sending you..." stamp by Anna Griffin; inner stamps by Just One More Stamp and Stampendous.

I printed the template and cut the corner dies out on the lighter blue paper.
I paper pieced the tie, collar, buttons, pockets and vest.
The collar on the template seemed a bit too short to me, so when I cut out the pieces I made it about 1/4" longer on each side.
After I assembled everything on the shirt, it seemed a bit too small all by itself, so I adhered it to a single sheet of the darker blue paper and cut it about 3/8" larger than the shirt all the way around and added the corners.

I got the idea from Christine over at Card Making Magic where she has a tutorial.
You pull on the doily part of the slider and each picture is made viewable.
