So Excited!!

Hey blogger peeps!

I'm so excited!  I won 1st place in the Top 3 at the C.R.A.F.T. Challenge a couple a weeks ago and what goes along with that is, I was invited to be a Guest Designer for this weeks challenge.
How fun is that!

Tarnished Foil Technique!

*Aud Sentiment - Patterned Paper, Embossing, Die Cut

It's called the tarnished foil technique. I first saw it on pinterest, then went to youtube to see if they had a "how to" and here is my version.

It's really pretty easy, it takes an embossed pc of silver mirror paper, (I used cuttlebugs hexagons) black staz on ink, embossing ink and a couple of embossing powders, (gold and copper) and that's it, but the result is stunning. It really does look tarnished.

I think I was a little heavy handed with the embossing powders and staz on ink, it's not suppose to look that stark, more blended and muted. Oh well, next time.

I saw this on pinterest, loved it and wanted to give it a try.
*I used Anna Griffin's box card die to cut out the box, and bbq stickers from Michaels.

I love how the doors open to reveal the sentiment.

The back flap is usually straight, but I bent it to look like a grill cover.

I added an image, some ribbon on the top and bottom of the base and loops, some glitter stickles on the ribbon top and bottom, and pearls on the loops and tail, and a butterfly that has glitter on the wings.
